Intruder motion detector plan symbol
Security plan symbol for a passive infrared or dual-technology motion detector reporting to an intruder alarm.
Plan symbol for a CCTV camera, drawn as a camera body with a lens and an optional field-of-view cone.
In plain English
CCTV cameras are drawn as a small rectangle with a lens shape or a triangle, at their mounting position, often with a field-of-view cone. Fixed, dome and pan-tilt-zoom types are distinguished by letters or small changes in the shape.
Network cameras are commonly powered by PoE, so the plan symbol is linked to a data outlet and the network switch. The installer needs the mounting height and the target scene to aim the camera.
The cone is indicative. Resolution at the target distance is the real performance criterion and is not shown by the symbol.
Plan symbol for a CCTV camera, drawn as a camera body with a lens and an optional field-of-view cone. An intruder motion detector senses presence; a camera records and transmits images.
