Understand the difference.

Compare the meaning, drawing context and source references of two entries. A similar graphic or shared abbreviation does not establish equivalence.

ANSI/IEEE terminal connection symbol

The round terminal form identifies a connection point in the vendor's IEEE-oriented library. Terminal identity and wire-number conventions tell the reader whether it is a physical terminal, a diagram connection reference or another declared interface.

Form evidence
Autodesk IEEE-oriented Terminals functional form. Autodesk explicitly publishes this block under IEEE Symbol Preview. The counterpart is the matching functional concept; no equivalence of every detailed standard graphic is asserted.

A distinction that matters

A terminal mark is different from a wire-junction dot when the drawing assigns it a physical connection identity.

Terminal connection

A terminal representation identifies a connection point for conductors. The terminal number and strip or assembly identifier link the schematic to physical wiring documentation. A wire number and terminal number identify different things and should not be substituted for one another.

A distinction that matters

An electrical junction and a physical terminal are different concepts. A connection dot alone does not necessarily identify a terminal block.
