Understand the difference.

Compare the meaning, drawing context and source references of two entries. A similar graphic or shared abbreviation does not establish equivalence.

Lockout-reset closing permissive

Blocks the closing path while the assigned protection lockout remains active. A closing circuit combines an operator or automatic request with the conditions that allow the breaker to close. The closing coil releases stored mechanism energy where that construction is used; it is different from the spring-charging motor.

A distinction that matters

Resetting lockout does not remove a persistent fault. This reference describes the named application; it does not establish a new IEC graphical symbol, an ANSI device-function number or an exact manufacturer connection diagram.

Circuit breaker

A circuit-breaker representation identifies a device capable of interrupting its circuit under the operating conditions for which it is rated. The drawing should connect that device to its equipment identification, protection arrangement and control information. The graphical mark alone does not establish the current rating, breaking capacity or trip settings.

A distinction that matters

A disconnector provides isolation; it is not automatically a fault-interrupting circuit breaker. Check published device capabilities.
