ANSI/IEEE current-limiting circuit breaker symbol

A current-limiting breaker form identifies a fault-interruption characteristic associated with the selected breaker. It does not depict continuous regulation of the feeder current. The limiting designation needs the applicable manufacturer's let-through information.

Autodesk IEEE-oriented 1 Pole Circuit Breakers functional form. Autodesk explicitly publishes this block under IEEE Symbol Preview. The counterpart is the matching functional concept; no equivalence of every detailed standard graphic is asserted.

A distinction that matters

Fault-current limitation is not the same circuit function as an adjustable current regulator.

A distinction that matters

Current limitation is a fault-interruption characteristic, not a continuously regulated load-current function.
