What it represents

A switchboard arrangement combines distribution equipment in an assembly whose configuration is defined by the selected design and manufacturer. A GA describes physical sections and interfaces; an SLD describes electrical connections and device functions.

The original envelope illustration is unscaled and has no manufacturer dimensions. Follow the cited public resources to the exact product, then use its current drawing and installation information for engineering work.

How to read it

  • Match section identifiers between the GA and electrical schedule.
  • Read the access and cable arrangement from the selected assembly documentation.

Information to show or reference

  • Reference the assembly GA and schedule.
  • Identify section interfaces and cable entries.
  • Link equipment tags to electrical drawings.

A distinction that matters

A generic switchboard outline is not a production drawing, assembly design or verified installation envelope.

About this graphic

This illustration was authored independently by Elora Grid to explain the concept. It is not reproduced from a customer drawing, an official standard graphic or a manufacturer CAD file. Its correspondence to an exact IEC or IEEE symbol identifier has not been certified.

SVG and DXF downloads contain this original artwork. DXF uses unscaled drawing units; a GA envelope supplies no product dimensions, clearances or fabrication information. Original artwork is available under CC BY 4.0. Third-party references retain their own terms.
