What this block does

Accumulates the selected current interruption events according to the documented maintenance model.

A simple example

In a switchyard marshalling kiosk, gas compartment, operating mechanism and cabinet-service indications are collected for the station controller. Their equipment tags identify the actual compartment or mechanism being monitored. For this reference, the drawing identifies “Interrupted current events” at the input and “Accumulated duty information” at the output. The model is specific to the equipment application.

A reading guide. The entry's original illustration and input/output facts describe this application.

What the drawings help you do

Start at the named input: Interrupted current events. Identify its source device or document and the state represented on the drawing. Follow the named output: Accumulated duty information. Cross-reference its destination and separate the command from confirmation that the equipment responded.

What it represents

Accumulates the selected current interruption events according to the documented maintenance model. Yard equipment supervision carries the condition and support-system information of primary equipment into station alarms. A monitor's declared alarm, measurement and self-fault output need separate point names.

Keep primary-device identity, compartment boundaries and monitor health visible. A monitoring illustration does not establish a leak rate, operating threshold or remaining equipment life. The functional block is an independent explanation of this named application. Equipment-specific ratings, terminal connections and operating conditions must be established in the project documentation.

How to read it

  • Start at the named input: Interrupted current events. Identify its source device or document and the state represented on the drawing.
  • Follow the named output: Accumulated duty information. Cross-reference its destination and separate the command from confirmation that the equipment responded.
  • The model is specific to the equipment application.
  • Keep primary-device identity, compartment boundaries and monitor health visible. A monitoring illustration does not establish a leak rate, operating threshold or remaining equipment life.

Information to show or reference

  • Label the source and connection reference for interrupted current events.
  • Identify the destination and defined state of accumulated duty information.
  • Record the equipment or control-document revision supporting this functional block.
  • Check this application limit in the project design: The model is specific to the equipment application.

A distinction that matters

The model is specific to the equipment application. This reference describes the named application; it does not establish a new IEC graphical symbol, an ANSI device-function number or an exact manufacturer connection diagram.
