What it represents

This qualifier identifies contact with a roller-operated mechanism. A roller receives mechanical movement from another part and transfers it to the operating mechanism. It often helps explain a positional switch relationship on a machine or moving assembly.

Associate the mechanism with the physical position or movement it senses. Keep the corresponding electrical contact state and equipment tag explicit in the schematic.

How to read it

  • Associate the roller with its driven position and contact operating condition.
  • A roller qualifier identifies actuation, not the electrical contact rating.

Information to show or reference

  • Identify the associated device, circuit or diagram boundary.
  • Associate the roller with its driven position and contact operating condition.
  • Cross-reference the equipment data, terminal mapping or operating-state legend needed to interpret the form.

A distinction that matters

A roller qualifier identifies actuation, not the electrical contact rating.
