This qualifier identifies motion or force in both directions along a linear path. Opposite directions of travel belong to one linear movement relationship. Separate contacts or sensors may identify each end of travel or an intermediate position.
A control schematic should relate forward/reverse or extend/retract commands to the same mechanism tag. Limit positions and interlocks are described by their own elements.
Bidirectional motion does not imply simultaneous motion in both directions.
