Photodiode
A photodiode is a light-sensitive semiconductor device used in a documented sensing circuit.
An optically coupled component using photodiode output sensing for an isolation or feedback arrangement.

On a schematic, identify the emitter drive, detector terminals and feedback/output channels and trace the isolated analogue signal and amplifier circuit. Keep the component tag and signal/reference names consistent across the control drawing, terminal schedule and device documentation.
A photodiode-output optocoupler needs its detector/amplifier arrangement; it is not a transistor-output switch with the same pins.
The preview is an independently drawn educational functional reference. Add the selected component’s actual power pins, terminal numbers, timing or analogue reference details when producing a construction drawing.

These public references support the explanation and provide further detail. Their graphics and downloadable files remain with their publishers.
Public primary manufacturer documentation establishes the component function or circuit/topology relationship. Preview geometry and drafting explanations are independently authored.
